General Information
Description of ProgramChildren under three years of age with developmental delays or disabilities may be entitled to various Early Intervention services. Eligible children receive such services as speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, special education, family counseling, transportation and service coordination. The Child Find component of EIP identifies infants at risk for physical and developmental disabilities as soon after birth as possible, assures children are enrolled in primary healthcare, receive routine developmental surveillance and refers to EIP as appropriate.
